Our mission
Democratize how franchises get made
Independent creators should be able to build story worlds without a traditional gatekeeper. And as generative tools make it easier to skip hiring another creative, we want the opposite: a place where novelists, comic artists, voice actors, illustrators, and animators meet around shared stories—with clear ownership and upside.

Successful root stories help fund approved adaptations. Those adaptations return value—and grow the pool for what comes next.
Publish a story and prove there is real demand.
Choose to set aside part of future earnings into a Creator Fund.
Approve an adaptation—and seed it from that fund to get the work moving.
When the adaptation succeeds, creators earn, royalties return to the root, and the fund refills.
A larger pool can then support bigger adaptations of the same world.

Why this exists
A note from me
I grew up watching anime—and noticing the same hard truths around the industry, especially Japanese animation. Staff get overworked. Creators rarely get a real say in what gets adapted or how. Your favorite manga might get one shot on screen, and if that adaptation misses, there often isn't another chance. With production committees, money can get layered so thin by the time it reaches the people doing the work that the people making the show stay underpaid.
I set out to try to fix that. The first idea was to pull webcomics from places like Webtoon Canvas, bring people together to animate them—and I ran straight into how far-fetched shipping animation really is today. Looking closer at webcomics, I saw familiar problems there too: platforms that feel exploitative, weak pay, and IP terms that lock creators in. Graphic novels had their own version of the same story. Novel authors deal with another version again—slow traditional publishing, or indie routes where you barely know who is buying your book.
The issues overlap, but the worlds stay separate. Money and credit get stuck in the layers between them. AritiFlick is my attempt to narrow that gap: keep ownership with creators, bring disciplines together instead of stacking middlemen, and grow a franchise from the ground up. Novels are often the source of IP and the most feasible place to start—then audiobook, then graphic novel, then animation when the earlier layers can fund the next. That is the climb. - Do I have to start with a novel?
- No. Many creators begin with novels today, but a story can enter as a webcomic, graphic novel, or audiobook. Wherever it begins, it can grow into other forms.
- Is the Creator Fund available today?
- Not yet. Seed payments, automated royalties, and reinvestment pools are a future direction under research. Today’s focus is publishing, audience growth, and memberships.
- Do I own what I upload?
- Creators retain rights to their original work subject to our Terms of Use and any agreements you sign with collaborators.
- How do paid memberships work?
- Studios can offer paid tiers through our membership tools. Payouts are handled via Stripe; see Purchases in Settings for your subscriptions.
